Eclectic style some days I dress one way and others another.

Image
You know there are days where I dress one way, the alt/gothic fairy that I am. OR others where I wear over the top dresses. Often getting asked when I do venture out into the wilds, if there is a Renn Faire around. Or is there a comic con or something. Which no, I just dress this way as my normal.  It can get awkward. Especially when you see no one Dressed anywhere near how you do. Like in the slightest. Growing up always wanted to wear the prettiest of dresses. And I was able to wear them except at special  occasions. And I was very much the punk/goth girl as I got older. And getting made fun of in high school. And else where, made it hard for me to enjoy it. And so I started to dress as others wanted. Not for me, which I talk about a lot. Because GODS damned it is exhausting constantly trying to fit in. Constantly trying to be a part of the collective. But all the while you do not at all. Because, you are not like them at all. I am happiest when dressed how I want and ...

Concussion syndrome months later and trying Keto.

As some know, if you follow along on Threads, TikTok, and instagram, you may already know that I slipped and fell in the beginning of November. I slipped on a Christmas tinsel placemat that my son left on the floor. I still can’t remember what I was going to do, or what I was doing before the fall. I slipped on the placemat, I didn’t see it, and fell. I hit the back of my head on the floor. My right shoulder went through a Rubbermaid container and broke my fall some. Still by the end of the day, I was in serious pain. I couldn’t remember my name, couldn’t remember dates, it was horrible. The pain. And here I am now in April, suffering from Concussion Syndrome. The brain trauma still very much a present part of my life. I slur still at times, have difficulty talking, headaches, dizziness, nausea at moments, migraines, sensitivity to light and certain sounds. I already had an issue with sounds but now it is bad.  I have decided to, in my who knows what kind of wisdom trying the...

Wednesday pink day!

Image
I wish I had more to say here. Other than I wanted to dress in a cute dress for the day. Little did I know at the time that it was kind of cold outside, and then my head started to hurt. So, I changed into loungewear. The set from Selkie I own, that I guess does look like camo. It, isn't.  This is the set. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. I bought everything myself, not a sponsorship at all.  It was a great outfit, what do I mean was. It is a great outfit!  All the details are here: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.   Dress // Boots // bag // necklace // earring // lipstick // eyeshadow JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Introducing today’s #styleover35 and the Selkie L’appartement Marie gown. I love Selkie, which by now if you follow me on Instagram @thedegreelesshistorian or. @Glamorouslysteph you will have seen my massive collection by now. I love how the gowns make me feel. And yes, I am almost 40 but that doesn’t mean I can not have my own sense of style. That doesn’t mean I have to dress like a 1994 Sears Catalog. No, if I have learned one thing since the pandemic it is this! Dress how you want! Want to dress in gowns like this? Do it! Want to live in loungewear? Do it! Want to dress like you are Uber trendy and an Ot guy or girl? Do it! Life is short, live it up!  Other Selkies I have my eyes on. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. A different kind of green dress for Christmas

Image
Dress similar by Selkie // Apron // Fan // antlers // shoes   You know everyone goes with that dark Christmas green or bright green but sometimes it is good to stand out with pastels. This green dress by Selkie is one I bought a while ago. I love the style of it. And it is a floral print on a pastel green dress. I even have it in the short version.  Great dress for spring, summer, and winter. Also if you are concerned about keeping it clean an apron, like the one I am wearing, is a great option.  Buy from Amazon  here . The dress itself is very spring like and summery but you can make them wintery by wearing a chemise underneath or a short cardigan over. It works! Trust me!  JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

Home organizing. Selkie storage.

Image
So, I have a lot of Selkie dresses. If you don’t know what that is, Selkie are these over the top gorgeous dresses that just make you feel like a princess when you wear one. Trust me, they are fantastic! I have so many. And the problem is. Storage. They are huge dresses! Huge!  And also  I love these so much. Again storing them is an issue and one thing is the only people who seem to get garment bags from Selkie is paid influencers and such. That is my assumption. It is Alleged.  💁🏻‍♀️ But I would argue it is probably true. Anyways, I found the solution. And what prompted this whole thing to do today, even though this concussion is messing me up today, is because the closet organizer on the left decided to break. It looked like someone was hanging on it and rummaging around. CHRISTMAS present hunters. AKA.... the KIDS! So, I opened the pack of garment bags up and got to work. I am donating what doesn't fit and I haven't worn in a year or more. And if it is beyond...
