Rethinking my grid for a better instagram experience.

Image
Instagram, yep it is still king, still one of the top social media apps. And damn is it hard to grow on there. My following grows and shrinks every day, when I reach out to brands for opportunities, followers, followers, followers. Not enough. So then I focused on that. Never bought followers, that is just massively cheating. But, I joined the pods to find other blogs and inspo. Or at least that is what I told myself. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. And then there are the likes. Not enough of them. Ugh, I just can not win.And of course like so many bloggers on instagram, the pods.  Yup. I joined those as did many others I know. But, is it a good thing? And by the way I can not tell you, how many growth posts I have seen on Pinterest that tell you to join the pods and all that. Just wow. But, brands are starting to look at alllllllllll of the numbers. Some may still look at the superficial, but more and more are getting the whitel...

I hate feeling sick and tired.  This whole thing is just annoying. I just want to be well and just want to feel normal. This bladder and kidney infection thing is making my hair pulling harder to control because of it. I am bored because I can not do much without feeling sick. And I swear I feel like I am going crazy. Yeah, crazy. You feel that way because you have been sick for awhile and get scared that it is “all in your head” You feel crazy because of how you feel. You wonder if you really are. At least that is how it is for me.I want to be up and moving not feeling like death when I do! I am still pretty much living in in loungewear, like this set from GAP , but then...

Styling a blazer and a hoodie.

Image
I don't know about you, but I love a good blazer and a good hoodie! And yeah once again I have joggers on. still hurting and stick sick. I feel awful! still! Like I star out ok, then by 12 my back hurts and it goes on from there. Anyways we were talking about blazers and stuff. Right? Right! via GIPHY This trend first popped up before Christmas. And I never really gave it much thought.I know plenty of influencers do it at different times and are considered “edgy” but I wanted to give it a go .And I am dorky, so there is that. I decided to wear my new Mickey (surprise) sweatshirt and joggers with my new Shein heels and this Amanda Uprichard blazer I bought secondhand. Then added the rented Gucci (which I might purchase, shhhhh)for some luxe details. My son also asked me to wear  the ears with him, so I did. He was in OT when I took these. How do I look?  Remember that show. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Th...

Rust monochrome outfit

Image
What is monochrome? Well Oxford dictionary states noun:  monochrome ; plural noun:  monochromes a photograph or picture developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color. representation or reproduction in black and white or in varying tones of only one color so this outfit falls into that definition of monochrome. The dress isa rust color and so is the cardigan. I got the cardigan a year ago from Target but I found a cardigan  that matches the rust colored midi dress I bought from Shein . The cardigan is $24.99! The bag is from Gucci but I am renting it from Vivrelle , which is a great company to rent from! Monochrome outfits are going to be going strong I think in spring only in bright springy and summery colors. That and flowy floral dresses. The shoes I have on are these beautiful slides with some gorgeous bling!  And I love my new wig by Uniwigs on Instagram! Parenting lately has been a challenge, a rewarding challenge but a c...

How to make your loungewear look expensive.

Image
' 1 . . Ehhhhh, what’s up DOC? Not a whole lot , let me tell you. Still recovering from a kidney infection, but hopefully I can still get better and better. I am so great full we got it looked at before it worsens. Ugh not fun. But enough about my not happy organs. I feel like I am living in loungewear. But with my health the way it has been it is n surprise. It is comfy and cozy, and while loungewear is comfy and cozy it can also be styled as well. Trendy and stylish. How to make your loungewear look expensive? The trick? More “expensive “ or “expensive looking “ accessories. My shoes are under $25 at Shein. My loungewear is total $45 for the set. So, why does it look like more pricey? Well, the bag. Yeah. It is a REAL Gucci. I rented the bag from Vivrelle . And I may actually buy it who knows. It is super pretty. And I have wanted this velvet beauty for a long time!  So, by just adding this rented bag I now look as if I spent hundreds of dollars when in fact I haven’t. ...
