I first started using Rent the Runway before the massive outbreak of covid. I loved being able to pick out as many items i wanted a month with their glorious unlimited plan. It was great being able to switch up my wardrobe without purchasing and purchasing. It was my content creating dream. And filled me with my shopping satisfaction. Things were great but like all good things, it had to come to an end. That's when I saw The open letter to their community. It is an epic eye rolling read. And the comment section is full of others who feel we are all getting duped for the sake of the almoghty dollar. Taking away unlimited items, upping the price, charging many for shipments with their current unlimited plans, clothes arriving dirty and damages, the items taking forever, and many calling out Rent the runway for assuming consumers that have been part of their plan for months to years are dimb enough to feel they are going to benefit from some of their price increases and less items.

And my hair i guess? Reality is that I wear the wigs for my mental health like my trichotillomania . I need to wear them to help with my hair pulling. And it helps the confidence that I lack a lot. Honestly, it has been helping a lot! I love them! It makes me want more color in my  clothes and it has been fun! Now for this look I took my cardigan and buttoned it a bit funny by switching button holes. I created a mock ruching of the top. It made it feel new! YAY! We like that!  Shop more here

I have wanted this silly sweater since i first saw it at Tar get. And I finally bought it! I love me some Snoopy! This time of year all the best of Peanuts is worth watching, well the Great Pumpkin and Charlie Brown Christmas anyway. We don’t talk about the Thanksgiving episode... here in Florida it is still in the mid to upper 80's and humid. So fall attire is still very much summer attire. Some people try, I mean, i try too but ugh. It gets so hot! So the new normal includes mask wearing constant Lysol spraying and social distancing. And fashion wise the new normal is all about joggers(sweat pants essentially) and tee shirts or some other bit of comfy shirt or sweater. The thing is this is a bit of fashion that has been around. But was considered to be the “lazy person’s “ wear. People who wore sweatpants (especially moms) were considered to be amongst those who have “given up”.  Fashion’s elite stylists and editors shunned the now popular Covid wear. Saying now they understand why people love it and now embrace it. It took quarantine to do that. It took Covid to do that, a sad thing that people have been wanting to be recognized as a bit of comfy fashion that is perfect. A bit of fashion that doesn’t care what size you are and anyone at any age can wear.  I’m never giving up my comfy joggers and loungewear.  It is what got me through my bad swelling days thanks to medications. It is so beautiful and soft and actually really comfy to wear! I have been living in my wigs because of my trichotillomania. And that is ok. The thing is the synthetic materials keep me from pulling out my hair and is training me to stop doing it when the wig is not on. And that is a good thing!  If you have trichotillomania, maybe wearing fake hair will help. It is so empowering for me and I feel more confident! It gives me the ability to wear hair I have always wanted! Hair that won’t frizz in humidity and looks perfect. And it looks fabulous with this dress right? You know, I can feel like it is going to be a hair pulling day. And so I put the wig on, and I am loving how creative I feel with them on. And confidence soars. And then there are days when I am like why bother? The fear of snide comments and remarks from those who are supposed to love me make me feel like I am doing something bad. Like I am, by wearing this fake hair whatever the psychological reason , means I am trying to be someone I am not.    The hair though I really feel is allowing me to be who I am. I have always wanted to have mermaid hair and the wigs allow that without the upkeep and damage. Also helps with the trichotillomania a lot. I love that I can help my mental part and also the esteem as well as change up the look a bit. Still, I need to make my voice heard on the matt
