Glamorous and geeky

  I once, a long time ago, did not dress how you may have seen me before. I was more of the goth punk type. At least in my teens and very early 20’s. But, alas the constant getting made fun of in school over it. And the not so subtle remarks from coworkers and yes, family. Made it hard to keep dressing like I walked out of Hot topic and Gadzooks. So, when I was in my mid 20’s and older. I decided I needed to dress how everyone else expected. How everyone else did. How all the popular it girls and bloggers did. ​ So, I did. And I was miserable. But hey, at least people were nicer to me. I should say “nicer” because no one really wanted to be my friend. My undiagnosed neurodivergent self was not something anyone else wanted to be around. And yeah,I knew. I knew how others felt about me. I felt like I never belonged.  I have been coloring my Rider Waitdeck coloring book. A lot. And if you don’t know , it is a tarot card deck. And wearing this tee I bought from Juniper Fox on instagram is an awesome tie in for this concept of tarot cards. It is a fabulous tee featuring a fabulous fox, juniper. I also had to add the crown because it requires it I think.Shooting these pictures I didn’t want any old place to shoot, and then. I found the flowers, my allergies were not thrilled but my creative mind was. The empress stands for authority and a strong female figure.I am not either of those things, by the way But there is more to the card than that. I don't know about you, but I love a good blazer and a good hoodie! And yeah once again I have joggers on. still hurting and stick sick. I feel awful! still!   What is monochrome? Well Oxford dictionary states noun:  monochrome ; plural noun:  monochromes a photograph or picture developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color. representation or reproduction in black and white or in varying tones of only one color so this outfit falls into that definition of monochrome. The dress isa rust color and so is the cardigan. I got the cardigan a year ago from Target but I found a cardigan  that matches the rust colored midi dress I bought from Shein . The cardigan is $24.99! The bag is from Gucci but I am renting it from Vivrelle , which is a great company to rent from! But with my health the way it has been it is n surprise. It is comfy and cozy,and while loungewear is comfy and cozy it can also be styled as well. Trendy and stylish. How to make your loungewear look expensive? The trick? More “expensive “ or “expensive looking “ accessories. My shoes are under $25 at Shein. My loungewear is total $45 for the set. So, why does it look like more pricey? Well, the bag. Yeah. It is a REAL Gucci. I rented the bag from Vivrelle . And I may actually buy it who knows. It is super pretty. And I have wanted this velvet beauty for a long time!  So, by just adding this rented bag I now look as if I spent hundreds of dollars when in fact I haven’t. ...
