Have you heard of Dracula Clothing?
I once, a long time ago, did not dress how you may have seen me before. I was more of the goth punk type. At least in my teens and very early 20’s. But, alas the constant getting made fun of in school over it. And the not so subtle remarks from coworkers and yes, family. Made it hard to keep dressing like I walked out of Hot topic and Gadzooks. So, when I was in my mid 20’s and older. I decided I needed to dress how everyone else expected. How everyone else did. How all the popular it girls and bloggers did.
So, I did. And I was miserable. But hey, at least people were nicer to me. I should say “nicer” because no one really wanted to be my friend. My undiagnosed neurodivergent self was not something anyone else wanted to be around. And yeah,I knew. I knew how others felt about me. I felt like I never belonged. Ever.
And then I started blogs, but never happy. Something was missing. Someone was missing . My inner child needed to be healed and then I found SELKIE.
The dresses I always dreamed of wearing as a kid but never allowed to really outside of Easter Or Halloween. I am an adult, and with using Klarna, I bought my first Selkie dress. I was hooked. And love each dress I now own.
I also started sewing again. Then after my brain injury. I decided to give my teen and true self the needed boost. I colored my hair blue. And started to wear things like I did before. Goth and Alt fashion. Weaving in and out of my fancy pants Selkie. Glorious. And I finally feel like I am getting back to me.
Dracula Clothing. The clothes I saw by chance and now own several pieces of their beautiful clothes. Dracula clothing meets some of my fave historical elements and modern day fashion. The prints are fabulous.
I love the bustle details they have and the corsets. I will say the dress fits pretty much everywhere but the arms need to be bigger for a large. Of course with my neuropathy I do sometimes swell. Sadly.
The boots are from the Shein. And I am trying to move away from shopping there but I understand those who feel that is the best and affordable option. And the necklace is from Etsy. I love historical based jewelry.
I do want to add, I am not sponsored by Dracula Clothing, I just really like their clothes and am a customer!
