Glamorous and geeky

The teddy bear coat I bought a few year ago or a year ago(?) is back from Zara. It was actually cold enough to wear this coat this December. I love it, my son does too and steals in when we are in the car. And that is adorable and fine by me. It is a very snuggly warm coat. The coat is soft and for some reason always makes me think of Fozzy bear. The wakka wakka coat! Right? I was also wearing my Thanksgiving day outfit! I wore this dress(hair and all) on Thanksgiving and I wanted to be sure I shared it on the blog! The form fitting Shein midi dress was one that at first was intimidating. I was scared I would look like a sausage . Or I would look like a lumpy sack of potatoes or taters as my 2 yr old calls them. Taters. The belt is also a beautiful ornate one from shein as well and the shoes too. I also wore my compression socks like a good human with a heart condition and the bag is rented from Rent the Runway. . Blogging is fun. For a while it did not seem that way for me it seemed like a burden and a hassle. I think mostly because my blog on my self hosted site was always and is always breaking. I was getting tired of finding a way to post when files are missing and code is broken. And being blacklisted thanks to the server we are on did not help. My numbers were crap and I was blaming me for it 100% as I always tend to do. Truth is it was mostly bad hosting. With just a few weeks (like 2) on blogger, my views are up and more than on the go daddy Wordpress bull crap. Go figure.  I feel like I did years ago blogging. It is fun again! And with COVID being around I find myself going back to shooting at home in my little corner here in the bedroom. And yeah I still go out and shoot, but I don’t beat myself up for not having those out in public editorial shots. I don’t need them! And that is ok, I do go at least 3 times a week for photos out of the house . Planned outfits in a great location! ...

 Is it too soon to start thinking about holiday looks? Is it weird to even think about that right now with Covid cases rising up once again. We all risk the quarantine sadness and stay at home orders. More and more people are dying and being hospitalized. Including kids. The holidays are going to be different for sure this year. No parties and limited family time. Which given the extent of politics may not be a bad thing for some. So why even bother dressing up? Why even bother putting together a “look” “book”. Of holiday outfit ideas if no one is going to see them potentially? Well, here is my reasoning. Ya ready? You wanna hear this?  Normalcy .  Boom.  For years I have been blogging. Years. Since 2009 to be exact and I have always wanted to have that as my career. You know total control over what I post and have flexibility to work around my illness and my kids now. Financial freedom and all at the tips of my fingers. But that didn’t happen. And yeah while watching other bloggers and grammars get successful sponsors and grow while my little space didn’t l, well it hurt. Still hurts.
