Holiday lookbook. Wearing Self-portrait at home.

 Is it too soon to start thinking about holiday looks? Is it weird to even think about that right now with Covid cases rising up once again. We all risk the quarantine sadness and stay at home orders. More and more people are dying and being hospitalized. Including kids. The holidays are going to be different for sure this year. No parties and limited family time. Which given the extent of politics may not be a bad thing for some.

So why even bother dressing up? Why even bother putting together a “look” “book”. Of holiday outfit ideas if no one is going to see them potentially? Well, here is my reasoning. Ya ready? You wanna hear this? 

Normalcy .

Yeah it would be easier to just stick around with lounge wear and Ugg’s comfy slippers . But, where is the fun in that? I mean Ok, look. Yes it will be more relevant and “in the moment” But, you may be surprised how dressing up for a bit in a cute dress or outfit can up lift that mood . Even in a lock down or quarantine. 

And also, it is a nice break from gloom and doom to put on a happy holiday look and go look at me and look at my tree!

Just go ahead, get that makeup on and do your hair. Put on the party dress and rock around your own Christmas tree. You will be glad you did!
