Running late outfit on the go.

I was running late the other morning. No surprise there I know. But, the sleep thing was not happening and I am still trying to get over my sinus infection. Joy, no covid, but still not feeling well. ANd so no surprise that one morning I woke up with only 30 minutes to get me and the kidss out the door for my oldest's first appointment of the day. It was a long day. Or going to be a long day. I got dressed in the dark, not joking here. Did my makeup and hoped that what ever I was wearing worked out. And I guess it did. A hole hell of a lot better than today's outfit. I mean today's outfit is not too bad. Joggers again(not surprised again.) and a sweater tee. But this day it was sweater tee from Target, some GAP jeans, and some simple SHEIN heels. I just hoped it was not a monstrocity.












And it wasn't but after cancelling my Rent The Runway (again) I feel my fashion seems like meh. My personal style now relying on what I own and purchase. Here we go. I will make do.

 I’m finally done with my dress! Finally finished! The dress design came from when I wanted a dress from Selkie. The dress I was wanting was always sold out in my size! The green plaid dress with the slit and ruffle. Oh it was beautiful! But, old out. I knew what I had to do. I needed to make one myself. I looked at the style, checking how to make it. I had a pattern by Vicki sews (I suggest not that one, it was a pain, instructions on pdf and very vague.) I am looking for one that is easier. I looked at the fabric type. Paper Cotton type. Hmm… I went on spoonflower and got the signature petal cotton. It has a nice drape for clothes. Then, I picked out the pattern of plaid. A green Irish plaid. This plaid  also comes in other colors! I may do pink next! Fun!  The always sold out Selkie .  I bought on Amazon a green cotton bolt of fabric 3 yards was more than enough for a size 12. Wednesday pink day!

  I wish I had more to say here. Other than I wanted to dress in a cute dress for the day. Little did I know at the time that it was kind of cold outside, and then my head started to hurt. So, I changed into loungewear. The set from Selkie I own, that I guess does look like camo. It, isn't.  This is the set. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Getting into Cosplay Orin Work in Progress(wip)

 I am one who loves to sew, loves it. I adore making things like costumes and dresses. I first actually got into cosplay years ago. Well a long ass time ago to be quite honest. Went to one of my first cons, and it was so uncomfortable how grabby some dudes were, that I never went back. Until recently, I really want to go. They look like such fun and Dragon Con is on the top of my list after doing something local like Mega Con in Orlando, FL. I am working on Orin the Red, a cosplay that fingers crossed will be done for Halloween.  Hoping because it is a 3d printed armor, that we are putting a lot of work into. I say we, because it is my husband and I making it. He does the 3d print and I do all the rest. The painting, the shaping, the wig, the makeup, the bodysuit painting, the figuring out how to make it wearable. The thing about cosplay is making the impossible, possible.
