My love of history explained.

So, I figured it would be a good time to talk about my love of history to you all. And my ups and downs with all this knowledge in my noodle that I have not been able to apply and it just freaking sits there. By the way if you are interested in what ever I am wearing I will list it at the end of the blog post. I am going to start saying that in most posts so people who just came for the outfits can skipperoo to the bottom for their options. But for the rest that would love to read what history lesson I want to share can stay around and read on.

So, to what I was going to post.my love of history. It started as a wee little girl, I was in kindergarten and couldn’t read a word. Not a single word. It was a struggle, and then in the library. I saw a book with mummies in it. And I wanted to read it. But, I wasn’t able to read it. I decided that I wanted to learn so I got the blue bug books and had my mom help me learn to read. When I say it was a struggle I am not exaggerating.I cried many times trying to learn it. Ereaders didn’t exist, there was no internet . And the card categories was a cabinet with paper cards.
Still from there I persevered and learned to read. From there I read all sorts of history books and mythology books. As well as paleontology books. Of course we can not discount the Dr Seuss books either.

My love of history and knowledge got me mocked and made fun of in high school history classes. Then in college when I was majoring in anthropology, I was constantly told by others close to me  how there was no money in anthropology and I was stupid for not choosing a major that made money and so I listened to them thus going to law instead. But I just couldn’t do it, and by the time I figured I would go out and back to history(much to people’s dismay and disappointment) I couldn’t afford books, and that time the college I was in did not defer books for loan students.I had to drop out, plus I am not the type that could work and go to school. My mind couldn’t be in 3 places at once.Sucks. It it is true.

So, here I am all these years later with basically an almost AA in nothing. And it is one of my biggest regrets. But hopefully I can bring that love to my blog, to turn it to what I want a history book with fashion put in there. Yeah it may be weird but I hope you can appreciate it. My obsession with historical stuff and yup dinosaurs. Sorry but as the title of my blog suggests, I am glamorous and Geeky. It is about time I did what my blog name is Right?
